Two minutes from downtown is America's first Harley dealership, established in 1912. A store, museum, and ice cream parlor all under one roof, the original storefront has been carefully re-created, and a life-sized, talking A.D Farrow greets visitors upon their entrance. Enjoy a cup of coffee from the former Harley oil tank (cleaned thoroughly, of course) and browse through a collection of vintage Harleys, clothing, and memorabilia. There is also a vast assortment of current Harley gear in the shop adjacent to the museum.

This center is also the headquarters of the Ohio Historical Society, a facility that showcases Ohio's history from the ice age to the present and the flagship museum in the society's statewide system of 60 historical sites. This 250,000 square-foot structure is also home to a gift shop, 280-seat auditorium, and the society's Archives/Library, which includes the State Archives of Ohio. Other exhibits spotlight archaeology, as well as Ohio's plants, animals, geology, geography, climate and weather.
